James 1:5-6

If it isn't already blatantly apparent to you, I like the book of James.  So if you haven't been in the Word recently, or if you haven't visited the book of James recently, then I would highly encourage you to do so.

My girlfriend Erika and I are reading the Bible in a year this year and it has been really cool so far.  For those of you who have always thought about doing this, you should do it.  For those of you who have already done it before, you should encourage someone close to you or just someone that you know to do it.  I have experienced an incredible thirst for the Word recently, solely due to the fact that I have been reading stories from the Bible that are very interesting to me.  I have always read parts of the Bible in pieces...or I have read books like Leviticus (which we just finished...thank goodness) which are very drab/doesn't feel like they apply in our day and age.  However, when I read the Bible in chronological order, I realize the lineage of the old testament starting with adam and eve.  Also, it is really cool to see how all of the Bible stories that we have been taught as a kid are interconnected and fit together.

Overall, this has been a great experience so far and I am so excited to see where it takes us in the future.  If you do happen to take on this task, I would encourage you to do it with someone.  It could be your spouse, accountability partner, or just a friend, but if you do it with someone, then you will have someone to talk to about what you are learning and what you think about what you are reading.  Not to mention, you will definitely grow closer to that person through the experience.

It is now time for me to go freeze my butt off and take some sunrise pictures over ASU's campus.
